class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">ISA BIRMINGHAM SECTION JULY MEETING REPORT<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-fc9819a cmsmasters-block-default cmsmasters-sticky-default elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"fc9819a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tISA Birmingham Section will not have a technical meeting in June, July, or August, but will be planning the schedule for the coming year that starts in September 2026.\u00a0 In September, there will be a kick-off meeting to set the tone for the technical meetings, network with fellow members, and socialize with the attendees.\u00a0 The meeting details, plans, location, and time will be announced in August, so mark you calendar for the second Tuesday of the month, which is our normal meeting date.\n\n<strong style=\"font-weight: 800;\">The ISA Birmingham Leadership Team met on Friday, July 17, 2026, for a preliminary planning session for the coming year.\u00a0 Several topics were discussed with decisions made for follow-up activities and assignments.<\/strong>\n\nThe ISA Birmingham Section will hold meetings on the second Tuesday of each month, with a Section Kick-off meeting September, 8, 2026.\u00a0 This will be a networking social event with some food and drinks.\u00a0\u00a0<strong>Action Item:\u00a0 John Cover<\/strong>\nThe Technical meetings will be in October and November of 2026; and January and March of 2027.\u00a0\u00a0<strong>Action Item:<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0<strong>David Amerson<\/strong>\n<ul>\n \t<li>A Christmas Social in December of 2026 will be discussed.\u00a0\u00a0<strong>Action Item:\u00a0 John Cover<\/strong><\/li>\n \t<li>The February meeting will be the ECOB Engineer\u2019s Week Banquet in February of 2027.\u00a0 ISA H&amp;A awardees to be recognized.\u00a0\u00a0<strong>Action Item:\u00a0 Chuck Jones<\/strong><\/li>\n \t<li>Locations will be investigated for a Plant Visit in April of 2027.\u00a0\u00a0<strong>Action Item:\u00a0 Everyone<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The Annual \u201cFundamentals of Industrial Automation, Instrumentation, and Control\u201d training class is scheduled for May 4 \u2013 6, 2027.\u00a0\u00a0<strong>Action Item:\u00a0 Gerald Wilbanks<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The ISA Birmingham Section Honors and Award Dinner will be scheduled for May 11, 2027.\u00a0\u00a0<strong>Action Item:\u00a0 Chuck Jones<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Verification of venues for meetings and training class to be determined.\u00a0\u00a0<strong>Action Item:\u00a0 Gerald Wilbanks<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The invitations are to be sent out for the Corporate Sponsor Program with benefits including a complimentary seat for each participating company at the annual training Forum and Workshop to be held in Lake Buena Vista, Florida on September 26 -27, 2026.\u00a0\u00a0<strong>Action Item:\u00a0 John Cover, Ramsey Saab, Andrew Green, and Patrick Joseph.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The ISA Birmingham Section Budget is to be established based on actual cost from last year and anticipated actions in 2026-2027.\u00a0\u00a0<strong>Action Item:\u00a0 Patrick Joseph and John Cover with input from all leaders.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Planning and coordination to continue to establish a functional ISA Student Section at the University of Alabama.\u00a0\u00a0<strong>Action Item:\u00a0 Victor Ivanav, John Cover, Stefanie Funk.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>John Cover would like to have a virtual meeting of the Executive Leadership Team each month on the Friday prior to the ISA Birmingham Section Meeting.\u00a0 This will be a one hour session starting at 11:30 AM and be limited to one hour.\u00a0\u00a0<strong>The next planning meeting for
